Arthur and Elaine Aron, the research behind the questions is well respected and thorough. The premise is also legitimate when viewed from the broader lens of effective couples counseling: rather than assuming you really know your partner, you become really curious to know more. Plus, for IVF-experienced couples redefining a relationship, these questions can help to lift your chins up towards what else is important.
